Facebook is undeniably the busiest social network among its peers, in terms of traffic drive and upgrades and to usher in this Christmas with exclusive sharing features (there’s so much love in sharing, especially during Xmas), the social media giant has rolled out its Photo Magic feature on Messenger with a bunch of other customizations.
Take this from me; the feature is not just another one, but one that is exclusive, based on what it is capable of doing. The Photo Magic feature works by scanning the user’s camera roll on the smartphone to find Facebook friends in freshly taken photos, using the social network’s facial recognition capability and prompts the user to share the images via Messenger and automatically tags friends.
However, its left to the user to decide whether he or she wants to use the feature and it can be switched off at any time. To enable, go to the settings menu in messenger and select it. The other customizations introduced are coloured texts, more emojis and nickname assigning for contacts.
Zuckerberg’s primary aim of developing these new features is to bring more users to the Messenger platform since about half of the entire Facebook population are yet to explore the platform.
