Galaxy Note 6 might be the first smartphone to pack 6GB of RAM

Leak also points to 5.8in QHD display and 12MP OIS camera

We may be just days away from the official unveiling of the Galaxy S7, but that hasn’t stopped the Galaxy Note 6 falling victim to rumours.

You may not want to get your Galaxy S7 pre-order in just yet, as the Galaxy Note 6 will trump it in terms of performance as the first smartphone to ship with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

This adds weight to the hard-to-believe rumour that the Galaxy Note 6 could also be the first in the series to transform into a makeshift PC. Speculation suggests that the Galaxy Note 6 will ship with a docking station that will enable the Android-powered phablet to transform into a fully-fledged Windows machine. Still, even despite talk of 6GB of RAM, we’d advise taking this rumour with a pinch of salt.

This isn’t all HQ Vision has for us. The Galaxy Note 6 will apparently feature a 5.8in 2560×1440 screen, bigger than the 5.7in display on the galaxy Note 5, which will, of course, support Samsung’s S Pen stylus.

We’re unlikely to see the Galaxy Note 6 for a few months yet, but the leak also points to a 12MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation, 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage, and two processor options, probably Snapdragon or Exynos depending on the region.
