Following last night’s formal unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy S7 price has been confirmed, and the phone’s not coming cheap.
With just one storage size available this time – 32GB, expandable via microSD – the Galaxy S7 has been handed a lofty £569, SIM-free asking price.
That’s more expensive than the entry level iPhone 6S, which will set wannabe owners back £539 – albeit with just 16GB of locked storage.
Things get more expensive too. Those after the brilliant spin-off handset, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will need to fork out £639 – £20 more than the base-level iPhone 6S Plus.
Lofty price tag aside, the S7 is shaping up as one of the best phones ever released. Pairing a 5.1-inch QHD display with a Snapdragon 820 processor and a low-light specialising 12-megapixel camera, it wraps its high-end innards in a newly waterproofed body.
