Earlier on in the year, Airtel doled out a prize of a million Naira to each of the seven winners of its Catapult A-Startup Competition in a bid to inspire innovation and assist startup mobile app and portal developers towards actualizing their business goals and dreams. And to crown the their effort, Airtel just unveiled one of the seven winners’ service known as Matchup on its platform, thereby giving it direct access to the Telco’s large customer base.
From the sound of its name, Matchup, it appears dating is the main purpose of the service in that, it allows users to search through thousands of profiles and photos and to find people of similar interests, so they can share similar social and professional interests. The product is easy to use, driven by flexible privacy options and data encryption to ensure customer’s satisfaction and security at all times.
It also allows users to wave at other users and engage in private chats with a special feature called “ROOMS”, where subscribers discuss diverse issues relating to relationships.
