Report: Facebook Is Becoming YouTube, willing to Share 55% Of Its Revenue with Publishers

According to “industry sources,” the social media giant will soon start testing a mid-roll ad format, which means advertisers will have the opportunity to insert an ad in THE MIDDLE OF VIDEOS.

The ads might interrupt regular video viewing at the 20-second mark and will be limited to 15 seconds.

On the bright side, video publishers will reportedly be getting 55 percent of ad sales from those videos, ‘this is the same margin offered by YouTube, who is currently the king of digital video ad buys.’ There’s no word, yet, on when these ads will roll out, but don’t be surprised to see them appearing soon.
