Snoop Launches A Website You Wouldn’t Want Your Kids To Visit

Snoop is entering the tech sphere in a whole new way with the launch of his very own digital media platform called Merry Jane, in partnership with well known media entrepreneur, Ted Chung. Like the sound of the name, Merry Jane is an education, media and entertainment website for weed aficionados, structured to contain both editorial and video content.

But before all the world junkies go nodding their heads to this, the rapper turned tech investor, Calvin Broadus Jr, known as Snoop hopes his effort will eventually bring out all the smokers from their closets. ”There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke,” he said. So, only those ready to openly own up to their addiction can nod to this.

Snoop announced the new site at the TechCrunch Disrupt SF conference in San Francisco last week, where he explained that the site will serve as an information hub for everyone interested in pot. Whether it be the occasional or the seasoned smoker, providing them with “all they need to know” about pot.

Interestingly, the site will feature a lot of things every sensible parent will never want his or her child to be exposed to. Features like original video content, including a series called “Deflowered,” where people get high and describe a new experience they had while enjoying marijuana and many more.

And when asked why he likes cannabis so much by the interviewer at the conference (TechCrunch Disrupt), Snoop’s response, “I should take you to my green room?” sparked some laughter in the audience before he finally answered on a serious note that crime rate has gone down in Colorado since the legalization of the “drug”. “If it does that around the whole world, what kind of world would we live in?”, he claimed.

According to the United Nations, 158.8 million people around the world use marijuana and thats over 3.8 percent of the world population.
